UKFast established the Manchester's Network Operation Centre (ManOC) as an affordable alternative to co-locating rack space in the South, in London.
ManOC ensures maximum protection for all server clients, at all times, security is at the forefront of this facility.
Prevention Systems
A sophisticated VESDA fire detection system is in operation and is coupled with CO2 and Halon gas fire suppression systems. This equipment ensures that any potential fire hazard is detected at a very early stage. In the unlikely event of a fire breaking out, the suppression systems will extinguish the fire without damage to any clients' valuable equipment.
Security
For added security the UKFast data centres boast CCTV monitoring, motion detection, patrolling security guards 24/7/365 to maintain an onsite presence and an advanced access control system.
Back-Up Systems
UKFast's UPS and diesel backup generator system ensures continuous power supply to all equipment. These systems have a seven-day independent run time in the event of mains failure.
