Q. What is the chief distinguishing factor in your Web hosting operation that separates it from the competition?


A. Our reliability and honesty, hands down. There are thousands of other choices for web hosting out there, so we always stress that customers need to be savvy about the way they choose the best host. Is your host hiding fees in the fine print? Are they available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year? Does a live person answer your call immediately after you dial? I created this company and my family and I helped it grow, with the assistance of diligent webmasters who gave us a try. Now we’re the biggest host in the world and we’ve managed to grow without compromising what we believe in – that solid technology, the best technical associates in the industry, and a reliable network to back our customers up is the only way to promote solid hosting. We’re here to stay, and we can provide everything we promise.

Q. What are the Top 3 elements of your Web hosting company that your customers are most impressed with?


A. Our Uptime, at 99.9%, always takes customers by surprise, probably because they’re not used to a web host who can actually provide that kind of reliability. Secondly, our customer support. We’ve got people who actually answer the phone, ask you how your day is, and solve your problems with incredible efficiency. Many companies say they can do 24/7 support, but Lunarpages coined that phrase and can back it up every day. And thirdly, I think customers are almost overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we give them. They start out with 350 GB of storage space on our most Basic Plan and the sky’s the limit as far as their needs go. We give them free Web Design Software, free tracking analysis software, domain names, blogs, and just about anything you could think of.

Q. If you could change ONE thing about your Web hosting business what would it be?


A. This is a really hard question, as I don’t think I’d change anything specifically about the company. We’ve been incredibly successful and I’m thankful for it every day and spend every waking moment thinking of how to make it better. I suppose though that I’d change the fact that we have to advertise. Personally, I’d prefer to get the majority of our business through word-of-mouth referrals. We have a wonderful affiliate program in place that we payout several hundred thousand dollars a month to our affiliates for promoting our services. I love to see that our hosting is preferred by so many people. I would like to see our affiliate program grow to the point that we can reduce other advertising forms.
