DediPower Managed Hosting owns and maintains two separate data centres, both in the proximity of Reading, Berkshire, UK.
The primary sites houses the majority of their servers and colocation equipment, and the disaster recovery site houses all high-end backup solutions for clients.
Features
DediPower's internal network is fully redundant from the boarder routers to the final switch. DediPower takes advantage of multiple connections to both its data centres, with three independant 100Mbps circuits connecting the main data centre to diverse POPs, and an additional backup connection to the Disaster Recovery site.
Temperature and humidity are controlled by HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) systems and are N+1 redundant, meaning even in the event of a failure, additional systems are on standby to continue the control of the data centre environment. All air conditioning is vented under the floor and extracted through floor grills. They also use a chilled water system, avoiding the build-up of 'hot spots', which occur in some data centres.
DediPower maintains high-tech CCTV and access control systems. 24/7 Security guards constantly patrol both sites to maintain an onsite 'presence' and both buildings are protected by full scale RedCare GSM alarm systems, linked directly to the police.
Guarantee
Up to 100% uptime guarantee, depending on service level, with up to 3 months of compensation should they fail to deliver on their guarantees.
Back-Up Systems
Power is conditioned through their UPS backup systems, and backed up by their N+1 class onsite generators. In the unlikely event of a power cut, their data centre can maintain power via these backup generators for over 72 hours.
