Database Power uses a data centre located in Washington, DC in the US, giving it the best geographic location for global hosting. The DC area is an ideal location for a data center, with a very large portion of the world's Internet traffic passing through. The area is not subject to earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, severe winter storms, or other natural disasters. It's at the true heart of the Internet, and in a very safe and secure area, ensuring optimal connectivity speed and routing.
Database Power's data centre is located in a strongly built building, officially certified as a Network Operations Centre. The facilities are tightly secured and feature video-surveillance systems and secure zone-based access.
Back-Up Systems
The facility is powered by dual power grids ensuring it will not lose power in case one grid goes out.
The data centre operates a high-capacity Liebert UPS system, augmented by a number of smaller per-rack UPSs. Both UPS sytems are able to power all the servers for over 45 minutes in case of a power outage. Two 20-ton Liebert AC units are in use, too, maintaining a consistent temperature of 18 C and a dust-free environment at the data centre.
