Deutsche Telekom Will Boost Web Hosting and IT Services

Cloud computing services and Web hosting are targeted areas for growth.

TopHosts.com News (March 17, 2010)- Europe’s largest telecommunications company will soon be boosting Web hosting and other IT services to increase revenue.

According to information giant Reuters, Deutsche Telekom AG, plans to generate $40 billion USD in sales by 2015 from services stemming from mobile Internet as well as cloud computing, IPTV, Web hosting and enabling connectivity across all devices.

The Bonn-based telco will be investing 10 billion Euros ($13.8 billion USD) to accelerate growth in Germany. In addition, network upgrades in the US will be implemented to improve services, according to Reuters. The company already advanced its Web hosting operation with the acquisition of Strato in November 2009.

Deutsche Telekom has more than 151 million mobile customers worldwide and brands its product lines
